On Monday 10th June 2013 we pay our annual visit to Weston Park minature railway. Time is 7:15/7:30PM onwards, cost £5.
On Saturday 23rd June we arranged another car sharing trip for brake van rides around Scunthorpe Steelworks.
We arranged a return evening visit to the 7¼" gauge minature railway at Weston Park on Monday 11th June 2012. Admission is ticket only, priced £5.
As a pre-season warm-up some of the branch are intending to visit the Moseley Railway Trust at Apedale, Newcastle-Under-Lyme on Saturday 13th August 2011.
On Thursday 25th June 2009 there was an open invitiation to Weston Park for an open evening visit, from 6:45PM, to the 7¼" gauge minature railway.
We have a mid-week visit (Wednesday 17th June 2009) to Blackpool Corporation Tram Depot followed by a private hire of a “Coronation” Vambac car. An application form for tickets is available.
On Tuesday 1st July 2008 we had an evening vist to the Stafford & District Model Engineering Society at their ground level miniature railway, elevated demonstration track and recently constructed 16mm/ft narrow gauge garden railway situated at their HQ tracksite, County Showground, Weston Road, Stafford.
Our first trip of 2007 was on Saturday 19th May for a return to Scunthorpe Steelworks where the steel rolling has been transferred from Workington. This was coupled with a visit to Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway. Here there is an extra mile of track since we visited the previous year. This year we altered the programme to replace summer evening meetings with visits, Monday 11th June being a visit around Oxley Maintenance Depot. The following month on July 9th we return to the Hilcote Valley minature railway attached to Fletchers Garden Centre, Eccleshall.
Saturday 6th of May 2006 saw another car sharing trip for brake van rides around Scunthorpe Steelworks followed by a visit to Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway.
On Saturday 22nd July we returned to Blackpool for another private hire of a tram.
A glorious Saturday 11th June saw 10 Branch members round off the year’s activities, in conjunction with the Industrial Railway Society, with the private hire of a Blackpool Tram followed by a visit around the Depot. A gallery is also available.
2005's Annual Coach Trip was to the Midland Railway Centre for their Steam Gala and then on to the Rudyard Lake Railway.
On 30th April 2005, a Saturday, we ran a trip based around car sharing to Scunthorpe Steelworks followed by a visit to Sandtoft Trolleybus Museum.
On Sunday 9th May 2004 our Annual Coach Trip travelled to Swindon - McArthur Glen Shopping Centre (SVR locos: 4930 & 7325), Steam and then on to the Science Museum storage facility at Wroughton.
Saturday 11th of January 2003 saw a group of us visiting some of the Shrewsbury Signal Boxes.
On Sunday 15th of June 2003 we went to the Gloucester & Warwickshire Railway and Gloucester Docks. Here is a gallery of our visit.
On Sunday 22th June 2002 we took trips on the Churnet Valley Railway and the Froghall Canal.
On Sunday 28th July 2001 we took another trip on the Shakespeare Express.
We also visited Wolverhampton Low Level Station and Power Box on Monday 30th July 2001.
On Monday 13th August we were treated to a private viewing (and riding) at the Hilcote Valley Railway.
On Sunday September 30st 2001 will see us taking a trip to both sections of the Great Central.
Our 2000 expedition was to the Nene Valley Railway which included an hour-long river cruise, with time to take in Peterborough centre and the Locomotive Shed at Wansford.
Our first trip of 1999 was a canal cruise across Pontcysyllte Aqueduct to the Llangollen Railway with optional visits to the Llangollen Motor museuM or the Valle Crucis Abbey, on Sunday 20th June 1999.
Sunday 22nd of August 1999 saw a group of branch members taking a trip to Stratford-upon-Avon on the Shakespeare Express.
Sunday 14th of June 1998 was when members of the Branch visited the National Tramway Museum at Crich and Peak Rail.
On Sunday 15th July 1997 we enjoyed a scenic round trip on the Caldon Canal from Froghall Wharf and later in the day visited the Foxfield Railway.
Exploits of the branch have been a trip to Inskip to view the (then) branch preserved coach and then on to the East Lancs Railway on Sunday 7th July 1996.
